Hi welcome to my site! My name is Jen Allwright and I am a Canadian born cowgirl with a huge passion for horses, and yes my “cat assistant” Sully.  I could not own a horse when I was young so I drew them and they were all over the walls of my room.   As time went on I tried my hand at color pencil, oils, pastels, and finally acrylics. Now I do commissioned work and I get to create beautiful pet portraits and I’m able to give families a lasting legacy of their beloved pets.   I gravitate to realism though I enjoy abstract painting and can do commissioned work in that style as well.   In the last 10 years I’ve been able to dedicate myself to my art and I love that my style is evolving and expanding.    Painting is like breathing to me and takes me too my happy place where I find my center.
